This was my Gingerbread Man from Starbucks. Lizzie was not pleased that I asked her to hold it while I took the picture.

Harvest Festival 2008
Like every year Millbrook Church had its Harvest Festival, an alternative for the community family and children from walking the streets to get candy. We all had a great time and felt good to give to the community a place they can be safe and have a good time.
Lizzie busy helping a scare crow.
Martha the smiling clown
Snow White (Susie) made another appearance for the second year in a row.

Apple and Proposition 8
Just sad, just so sad. I'm a Mac user and I don't need a company that I support by buying their hardware and software products then in turn support POLITICAL ideology that I do not agree with. Especially one as divisive as Proposition 8. I mean stick to issues not so polarized, such as to go "green" that's something that over 55 percent of Californians agree with. but, in this case I was one of the millions of California voters who showed up years ago to have my voice heard for the first constitutional amendment that stated "marriage is between a man and a woman" that then was over turned by Bay Area Judges who do not agree with the majority of Voters.

Kopi at Bieden Field
Kopi Soteropolis, KMPH Channel 26 Great Day host, was taking pictures with all the kids. Marina will always remember the day she met her idol Kopi, she looks so happy to be taking a picture with him.
Bieden Field 5
My edge network is not working that great. This post may be out of
order. So sad AT&T.

Moving Grief
One of the things that I hate the most in life is moving, and I've done it more then most people that I know. In my adult life I've moved easily over a dozen times. Now I'm in a place that hopefully I'll be staying in for the next few years. The funny thing is that the place that I've lived in at most steadily in my adult life were the dorms at my school California Christian College where I lived for seven and a half semesters of my five years, before gracefully and politely being asked not to live there any longer, cough cough. But I don't want to get into that, l o n g s t o r y !
I really like my new place, it has a weird lay out upstairs, but noting I cant get used to. It's going to be a place I can entertain company in easier, unlike my shoebox place I was at before.
I'll probably be posting pictures of my place soon, once I get all my stuff put away and actually have time to live in it for a while.

LifeBrook at Magic Mountain
So we are all at Six Flags Magic Mountain and we are having a blast. We have had little to no problems getting on the rides we all like, it seems that everyone is trying to get on X2 so that's cool. We are all waiting to get on Tatsu and have been waiting over a half hour. Not too bad.
Well right now I have one thing on my mind, whats for lunch.

Iron Man!
I just got out of Iron Man and it was amazing. It was better then I expected. Out of all the movies that I've seen in the past two years this is the only one that I would call a true summer blockbuster.
If you are a true comic book fan stay till after the credit. It can go in so many directions from here.

Trip to the bank became a trip to the zoo
While Lizzie and I were going to the bank we founds two ducks hanging out in the parking lot. It looks like they live there, they were not startled at all by my car or any of the other traffic.
This is actually two blocks from where I will be moving this next month.

Papa's Birthday
If you do not know I'm really into sports, but it is hard to watch most on tv, especially baseball, it is the worst, but I love watching baseball live. A few Friday's ago me and Lizzie's family went to watch the Fresno Grizzlies play the Tucson Sidewinders in Downtown; we were celebrating her dad's 39th birthday...
Just as most Grizzlies games they were trailing the whole time and looked to be a blow out; but if you caught the highlights you saw that in the bottom of the ninth-inning the Grizzlies came back and made five runs to win 6-5. It was such a blast. And since it was the opening day game there was an awesome fireworks show.
One thing that I would have liked to be different is that the concession stands would move faster; and the best way to make this happen is for them to accept credit cards. It was so bad, first I find out they were cash only then I find out that the entire park only has one ATM, which of course has a line as long as the concession stands. But this was not bad enough to dampen the mood too much, it was more of a nuisance that made me know that next time I'm going to eat before and bring in my own snacks.

Abbreviations
What is it about abbreviations that we seem to like so much? I'm watching AFV, or what I grew up calling America's Funniest Videos. I mean, what is AFV, it sounds like a off-road motor vehicle. I don't know, I just feel that some thinks should not be abbreviated and others it makes total sense; one that does is KFC, I mean that just seems to sound a lot better. On the other hand you can take New Kids On the Block and there reinvention NKOTB what was whack.. Not that the New Kids were ever cool. But then again I really hate the idea of hanging tough I mean, what does that mean: sounds like they want a fist in the face.
I place the picture only for all your amusments. And cuz I just happen to know some folks who really like them.

Another one bites the dust.
I usually only go to my Life Brook bible study and only share funny stories of my week, and share from God's word. But this week I was invited to partake in a demonstration of physical strength by arm wrestling. For the past few weeks a few of the guys have been taking about arm wrestling, and I'm not sure why, but Max, a brave member of our group, called me out. At first it looked like it was going to be a really fast match with Max taking a huge lead. But little by little I gained the upper-hand until the guy who had not expended all his energy won, and that was me.
It was cool, and a nice way to set to tone of the night.

Just a few words.
So a few things that have been going on, like always I'm still working a lot, and going to school a lot!; and like always trying to joggle all that and still try to have a bit of sanity. In the midst of it all I've been trying to find time to grow the I'm working ministry at Millbrook Church. One of which that is very exciting is Life Brook that will soon be launching a website LifeBrook.net, check it out sometime in the future. The Super Bowl was great, my family is still growing, and I have a new addition to my life digital family (My MacBook).
Well first of all I've been getting a lot of grief from people, mostly at work, who have been saying that I have not been very excited for my team, the New York Giants, who totally stomped all over the New England Patriots, for winning the Super Bowl in what I would say was their great Super Bowl win ever and one of the greatest games of recent NFL history. All I have to say to that is you had to be there! While I was watching the game I probably sat for a total of five minutes in the second half and was rumored to have even jumped in jubilee when Eli Manning and David Tyree connected for the amazing sac defying, helmet catch. Almost everyone I knew was routing of the Giants, just a few rotten apples in the bunch.
As if that was not exciting enough I have also finally decided to upgrade my computer. I've been using my iBook for the past five years and I loved it a whole lot. It did everything I wanted it to do, until I got my iPhone and found out that it “requires” a computer that has usb 2.0... I didn't have that. This was a good enough excuse to invest in a new machine. And like every rookie to the new MacBook's, we took a whole lot of pictures with my new iSight; that was sweet, you should check out Lizzie's myspace, she's posted a bunch of them there on her site.
Next week is looking to be really active. I've been invited to preach at my old church, Bethany Inner City this next Sunday. I've been really thinking and praying about what to preach about but at this point can not say what I will be speaking about. I'll probably be just as surprised as they are.
A few fun sites I've been looking at this past week:
